What Profhilo actually is
Profhilo is an injectable treatment based on highly concentrated hyaluronic acid that works as a bio-remodeler and skin health stimulator rather than a traditional filler. The hyaluronic acid is handled by thermal means only, with no chemicals added. Instead of adding volume or changing your facial contours, it spreads beneath the skin and acts like a deep “injectable moisturiser”, improving hydration and stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin over time — while your expressions stay entirely your own.

The bio-points technique
Skin cleansing, topical anesthetic and a cold pack, then Profhilo is injected just under the surface at 5 effective and safe bio points on each side, with very thin needles. The session takes about 30 minutes.

Recovery note: temporary small bumps or mild redness can appear at the injection sites and typically settle within 24–48 hours.

Patient safety and suitability
Profhilo has an excellent safety profile, but a careful review of medical history and medication, together with a physical examination, is always performed before deciding whether it is suitable for you.
Profhilo is not recommended for
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women
- Individuals with known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
- Patients with active skin infections or severe skin disease in the treatment area
Possible side effects
- Mild swelling or small raised bumps at the injection points
- Temporary redness or bruising in the treated area
- Local tenderness or a feeling of tightness
- Very rare hypersensitivity reactions to hyaluronic acid
These events are rare, usually short-lived and tend to resolve spontaneously. Serious complications are extremely rare when the treatment is performed by experienced medical professionals.
